My SoundCloud Profile

Wow! It has been a while since I've updated this blog. So much has happened over these past few months. . . new school, old bike, new bike, more music . . .

Anyway, moving on.

Lately, I've been using GarageBand to write/compose/make my own songs. Just a couple weeks ago, I figured out how to add drum loops to my mixes. Making music has never been the same since. No more video recording snippets of ideas and chord progressions on Facebook.

So, to get my songs online, I tried uploading a couple to YouTube.

This one, I call Honey Bunny. It took all night for me to put this together.

After doing that, I decided I don't really want to go through all that trouble making a video if I just want people to hear my song. So, I found this amazing site called SoundCloud.

You can upload your own mp3s and share them with, well, everyone. It's awesome, and sooo easy to use.

I've made 3 songs this spring break, and they're on my profile at SoundCloud.

Alice

I love how parts of the video loop and match with the music. Very trippy!
Then again, it's Alice in Wonderland. That alone is a trip.

The dude who made this goes by Fagottron on Youtube, or as Pogo on LastFM. You should definitely check out some of his other videos if you liked this one... but I really like this one haha!

How It Should Have Ended

Surfing the YouTube, I found this video:

and it is so true.

I recommend subscribing to HISHEdotcom's channel on YouTube, or visiting www.howitshouldhaveended.com because their videos are so funny.  Some are.

If you've seen the movies they parody, it makes more sense, doh.

But fo' real, what was Willy Wonka on?  Hahahaha!

PIRATE!

Here is the answer to a lot of my problems!

Now, what does it do?

Well. . . it converts media.

Now, how can I use it?

Well, have you ever had that problem where you just want to rip the audio file off of a YouTube video?  Well, this can do it for you in a matter of seconds, then just download the mp3 to your computer.

SO SIMPLE!

I also used to use Zamzar.com, which is almost the same thing, but it emails the converted file to you.  So inconvenient.
Oh, and I haven't thought of converting YouTube videos to just mp3 files before. . .

So, how does this help you?
Well, instead of coming back here to listen to your favorite songs off a youTube video you're not even gonna watch, just put the video's URL in the easy to fill out form and download that baby.

Whale of a Tale

Okay, I didn't go to the Go Jimmy Go concert, but there was a Reggae Battle of the Bands up at UH, so that's where we kinda went. The whole thing is a funny story, but if you want to hear the rest, let me know.

Speaking of funny, here's a video I just found on YouTube:
